"COOKIE POLICY"

Information in accordance with the provisions of the Telemedia Act §15

1. Data protection

We have written these cookie guidelines (version March 12th, 2021, 6:03 pm) to explain to you what cookies are, what types of cookies there are, how you can delete them or prevent loading, in accordance with the provisions of the Telemedia Act §15.

Unfortunately, it is in the nature of things that these explanations sound very technical, but we have tried to describe the most important things as simply and clearly as possible.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data that are sent from a website and stored in a visitor's browser. They are typically used to keep track of the settings you choose and actions taken on a page. We use these cookies, for example, when logging in or during different sessions. Cookies save certain user data about you, such as language or personal page settings. When you call up our site again, your browser transmits the "user-related" information back to our site. Thanks to cookies, our website knows who you are and offers you your usual standard settings. In some browsers, each cookie has its own file, in others, such as Firefox, all cookies are stored in a single file.

There are both first-party cookies and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are created directly from our side, third-party cookies are created by partner websites (e.g. Google Analytics). Each cookie must be evaluated individually, as each cookie stores different data. The expiry time of a cookie also varies from a few minutes to a few years. Cookies are not software programs and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other "pests". Cookies cannot access information on your PC either. We use cookies so that we can offer you the best possible experience on our website.

3. What types of cookies are there?

There are several or different types of cookies.

As an an example:

A distinction is made between "temporary cookies" and "permanent or stored". Permanent cookies remain until you delete them. Temporary cookies are deleted immediately after you close your browser.

-Advertising cookies:
These cookies are also called targeting cookies. They serve to deliver customized advertising to the user. That can be very practical, but also very annoying.

When you visit a website for the first time, you will usually be asked which of these types of cookies you would like to allow. And of course this decision is also saved in a cookie.

- Targeted cookies
These cookies ensure better user-friendliness. For example, entered locations, font sizes or form data are saved.

4. Updates to these guidelines

We reserve the right to change this cookie policy at any time, so please check it regularly, the version published on the website is always up-to-date (see "Version"). Changes and clarifications will be made immediately after they are published on the website If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you of these changes here (via cookie banner). If you would like to find out more about this cookie policy and your personal data from Bayer Enterprise, please visit our privacy policy.
